Why do you need this gauge?

Answer: This Voltage gauge measure the outpu voltage. 

When alternators fail, or are on the way out, they drop in voltage output or the overcharge due to internal regulator failure.

When Voltage drops or serges it can cause electrical components to fail and possible burn up.

This gauge is a must if you have Hi-Output Components(Stereo-Amps-TV-DVD-Etc).
